We finally got rid of the snowpack, at least for now. However, a current art show has me excited about ice and frost.

I have two photos in the Prism in the Frost show at the Exchange in Oil City. Folks can come visit, get a bite to eat or something to drink and enjoy some cool stuff.

One of the photos I have on display is a frost photo that I had previously entered into the Nature Art Showcase and Sale during Franklin on Ice. It is an 8×10 photo matted and framed to 11×14.

The other project on display is a collage of various ice or frost photos. I picked up the frame at a local Dollar General, and it was pretty inspiring. I really like how the piece turned out. Originally, I was going to make the photo that featured an ice formation and some lens flare a large photo. However, it would hold together when enlarged (photo speak for the image wasn’t in high enough resolution and became distorted when made bigger.).

Milo, stubborn old goat

I remember trying to get that photo. It was during one of my daily walks with my dogs and goats. I saw a sparkle near the water, and it caught my eye. It was the perfect alignment of the sun and ice. However, before I could change settings and take a couple of shots, Milo, the goat, went on the lam. He decided he wasn’t going to cross the creek and headed toward the road. This was literally, a life-and-death decision. As it often happens, I abandoned art to make sure my animals are safe.

Meanwhile, if you are looking for something to brighten your day or wall space, I still have some spring slate paintings available. They run about $30.

I also have multitudes of spring flower photos that can be printed and framed. Prices for 8×10 matted to 11×14 are around $40 excluding shipping. I am still waiting on this year’s tulip display. Hoping for a good one. Plans are to enter a couple of pieces into another Exchange art show in the future. Thanks for your support.
